Allen Solly X Purple Peeptoes

Picture this. It’s nine in the morning and I’m in a lift full of people leaving home for work. One half of them is suited up. The other half is dressed in ready-for-a-televesion-commercial crisp kurta, accessorized with gadgets I can’t even spell. And I’m just standing, smack in the middle, dressed in a pair of distressed jeans (torn all the way to the thighs, if you must know) and white t-shirt and a floor length maxi worn as a jacket – popularly known as my batman cape at work.
Scene 2
In the same lift, while everybody is celebrating the homecoming of the weekend in linen and denims, I step in a pair of printed trousers, mismatched with a checked shirts and magenta boyfriend blazer. You know what their expressions said, right? ‘Did you forget to check your calendar this morning?’
Friday Dressing
Being a writer comes with a lot of freedom. And the freedom to dress is the best one of them. So when Allen Solly asked me to interpret the theme, I said – chic, effortless, and oh-so-whimsical. On that note, Thank God(dess) It’s (almost) Friday, already!
{A big, big thank you to Daniel Franklin, Karuna Laungani, Joy Datta, Sunita Brace and of course, the Allen Solly Team}
